Rant

I have a Toshiba A30 laptop that I am very happy with except this problem with the Ctrl key locking. I am not sure what was causing this, but I could not find any way of turning it off unless I rebooted or hooked up a usb keyboard and clicked the left Ctrl key to unlock the Ctrl key. This was very frustrating and many goolge searches did not find anything.
Today I found an undocumented Fn-Ctrl will unlock this! Yahoo, and goodbye to this frustration undocumented feature!

I was setting up my laptop with a new install of Fedora Core 3 and decided to setup VPN to my office. Everything went great using PPTP Client. I noticed that I had to turn off encryption on the client for the connection to work, strange. When I turned on encryption I received this error MPPE required but peer negotiation failed which lead me to this article which shows the default policy is to accept clients with no encryption! What is the point of creating a VPN tunnel with no encryption! Dam M$!

If you are a system administrator, please check the policy for remote access and uncheck the No Encryption required!

One by one the penguins take away my sanity…

I moved my site, and found that I could not post new articles and comments.

Problem was with the directory permissions on the archive directory not sticking.

CHMOD 755 from the root for the Archive directory and changed
HTMLPerms 0755
in the mt.cfg file.
