Lindsay Lake Hike, originally uploaded by BigA888.

This is Chickadee Lake, it is on the way to Lindsay Lake.

Time has past…

I have gotten into hiking some of the fantastic mountains adjourn the lower mainland. I have always wanted to get into hiking, but just never took that first step, so to speak! Did a great hike at Burke Mountain Coquitlam, BC on Saturday June 29th.
Followed and old access road to the peak where a Ski Lodge used to be back in 1970’s before it burnt down. It took me 3 hours to get to the peak, and it was a breath taking view.

Hike was 6 hours,

Old burnt down Ski Lodge on peak of Harper Road.

About 20 cabins left from old ski Lodge, and people still own them even though it is a Provincial Park. The fellow I was talking to had inherited it from his Grandfather who had built a 2 level cabin.

Snow at the 900 meter mark, started to melt very rapidly while I was up there. Temperatures today reached 32 degrees. Reached the peak at noon, where Oreo and I had lunch.

Walked towards the lakes, but could not find trail markers in snow.

Stopped at a fast running creek to soak me feet and dunk my head, water was very cold and refreshing.
Passed by the old sawdust pile and then the fork to the Coquitlam Lake view.
