We made it!, originally uploaded by BigA888.

Thanks to the Hike Leaders Ray and Steve, real plus they both use Nikon DSLR’s as their weapon of choice!

This was a great hike, and I really enjoyed being a group of 24 hikers with the same goal of making it to the top of Mount Cheam, a very prominent figure in the Chilliwack skyline!

Took 1 hour on a very rough gravel road to get to the trail head, a Toyota RAV All wheel drive made it with no problems. I was in Tony’s 78 Ford truck, bounce bounce!

We made it to the peak in 1 and half hours, with an elevation gain of almost 700 meters. The peak sits at a height of almost 2100 meters, and there were signs of fresh snow! Check out the Google Earth map link or Google Maps.
Make sure to play with the 3D controls!
Mount Cheam

Looking forward to the next hike to Radium Lake & Mt Webb on September 6th, and I hope to remember my camera GPS for geotagging. I manually did the ones for Mount Cheam.

Playing with Photomatrix HDR again, used a single RAW image to create this one.

White Rock Sea Festival, originally uploaded by BigA888.

Busy BC Long Weekend!

It is great to see the Sand Castle competition back in white Rock.
100,000 people hit the beach this weekend and everyone seemed to have fun and enjoy the sun and sand.
