Frustrating trip to Ballantyne Terminal

I had a very frustrating trip to pick up Mona from the Ballantyne Cruise ship terminal in Vancouver.
There are no signs, and no indication on the websites on what to expect when you go to the terminal. When you go to the foot of McGill or Clark, there are security check point for the Port of Vancouver. No notice or sign anywhere saying this is the way to Ballantyne. Just a very daunting security check point with flashing lights and signs saying that a VPA Pass is required. There are no attendants, just a swipe area and a camera to look into. This seemed too much for picking someone up from a cruise ship.

I did a quick google search on my MotoQ and found a number to call. I do have to go through that check point, press the ‘Call Attendent’ button, state my business and hold up my ID. Why can they not have a sign or some indication on the website saying that you need to do this.

We’ve done work on cruise ships and it’s a PITA. Our staff have to basically clear customs just to get on the damn ship.
