July 2006

Well it is over except for the flight home.
What a trip, London, Belgium and Amsterdam. I am anxious to get home and be with family again. It has been a long 10 days, and it was a great trip, but I am glad to be going home. Mona will be waiting for me at the airport, and I can not wait to see her smile and hold her in my arms.

If you get a chance, visit Amsterdam you will not regret it!

Here we are ready for action at dead center in The Paradiso in Amsterdam.

Well my new buddy chris has worded it well on his blog. What a fantastic week, with 7 other Canadians, I did not really know. We spent 8 days together in a foreign environment, surviving, navigating and keeping it all together, and I could not have asked for a better mix of people.

We did it all, Air, Land, and Water travel on this trip. Every part of this trip was just dam magical.
Arriving in London and then having to navigate the transit system with all our gear and luggage.
The snakebites at Belushi’s pub.
Having to stay up 40 + hours to keep on schedule for all the concerts.
Renting cars and navigating a foreign road system to the Cactus Festival in Brugge, Belgium, and the Bospop Festival in Weert, Netherlands.
The Paradiso in Amsterdam, Netherlands, I have to say nothing here, it was ecstasy!
The Tivoli in Utrecht, Netherlands, with Dare Devil, Dire Wolf, Escape , and Rules WOW!

So here is a cheer for the new friends I made and the adventures in Europe. The documentary will be fantastic and will have a place in our hearts.

Amsterdam is a perfect place to spend a nice sunny day, wondering the streets and taking it all in with the senses. The smells of the city, the ancient buildings sprawled out in front of you make for a most enjoyable time.I will return here with my wife, she will love it here.

Here we are in Utrecht waiting for the show at the Tivoli .
It has been like we are in a dream, the last night of a 5 concert series in Europe.
We are all wearing our shirts, anticipating the show in a 600 seat theater that used to be an old monastery.

Well I think it is day 3 of our Europe tour!
This is where we are.
We are getting ready for the Cactus Festival.

Will upload photos when I get a chance later.
I do not know how much sleep I have had since Wednesday, but it has been less than 12!
