Well score one against network television for bowing down to sponsors and canceling this show after 3 episodes.
I finally watched the opening episode of The Book of Daniel, or should I say that my wife decided to watch it while I was on the laptop. I was sold that it was going to be a ‘Touched by an Angel’ type of show so I shied away from it. I like the realism of the characters and how the show is not about religion and being closer to God. It i a show about your faith, the faith in your family and the journey of your life. I can see why all the holier than thou stiff upper lipped Christians would be offended by the truth of what really goes on in life. I hope HBO or Showtime pick this up, it is the type of real life drama that they produce.
I also have to find out where I get some of those ‘Canadian Headache pills’.
Here is a good comment by Fr. Donald Matthews is the rector at Grace Episcopal Church in Elmira.
