Tragically Hip fans across the country will have an early Christmas of sorts this year with the release of ‘Hipeponymous’, a two CD and two DVD collection spanning their nearly 20 year career.

The CD’s in the set consist of a compilation of fan-selected hits called ‘Yer Favourites’ chosen online at sympatico.ca. The 37 tracks draw from all ten studio albums such as Road Apples (1991) and Day for Night (1994) while also unveiling two new unreleased songs.

The DVD portion of the set features a live concert entitled ‘That Night in Toronto’ which captures the band during a top-notch performance filmed last November at the Air Canada Centre; as well a behind-the-scenes documentary called ‘Macroscopic’ and all of the band’s 23 videos. The collection is also garnished with a 48-page book
