I have been meaning to put a link up for this.
If you have been waiting to find a familiar application to try out on Linux, this will be the one. Scott Moschella has taken the Gimp application for Linux, and skinned it with the the same layout and GUI of Adobe Photoshop
GIMPShop. Has a good look and feel. Give it a try.
