Well, bad news we have to replace the roof on our house.
I am glad we decided not to go to Hawaii, or we would be in big trouble!
A friend of ours just had their roof done, and had nothing but good things to say about Sears. They gave us the name of Ian, the one responsible for quoting and scheduling 20 crews in the lower mainland. First off let me say that Ian has to be the most polite and professional person I have talked to on the phone. Saying please and thank you with every piece of information he required. He set up an appointment for inspecting our roof at our convenience, and even went out of his way to make us feel not rushed or pressured.
The following Monday we meet Ian, and what a delightful fellow to deal with. Ian has work with Sears for 30 years, WOW! He set to work examining the existing roof, and making us feel at ease about the amount of money we were about to pay. Ian described how the airflow and vents on a roof are very important, and that he would like to see 2 extra vents on ours. Ian then grabbed his ladder and said he will be done in about 20 minutes with a quote. 20 minutes later, he came to the door with a kit of samples and a detailed quote. He quickly went over the quote and then handed it to me with a smile and it has been nice meeting you and you should go an enjoy your diner and I will get out if your way. No pressure, no extra sell, just here is your quote, enjoy your evening.
We then did our number crunching and decided to call Ian up ask what is the next step. We then set up another appointment at our convenience to create a detailed work order. Again Ian made us feel at ease by answering all our questions and concerns. Our roof is scheduled to be installed the first week of November, I hope to get pictures and continue or roof story.
