In Windows XP you have the followinf problems.
A recordable cd drive was not detected.
When you right click on files, thre is no ’send to cd drive’
When you try to burn a CD, there is no option to do so?
When you view the Properties of the drive, the Recording tab is missing?
Windows XP has NOT detected that your CD drive is recordable.
To fix this problem:
1. Use the Registry Editor to navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerCD BurningDrives
2. Export this key to a burn.reg file to back it up.
3. Expand the Drives sub-key.
4. Select the Volume{GUID} sub-key.
5. Double-click the Drive Type Value Name, a REG_DWORD data type. If your drive is a:
CD-R - Set the data value to 1.
CD-RW - Set the data value to 2.
NOTE: If the CD drive is NOT recordable, the data value of Drive Type is 3.
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for each recordable drive.
7. Exit the Registry Editor.
8. Shutdown and restart your computer.
